It all started off as a joke; a way to get an A on my art history project, and a way to have some fun the weekend after testing. I dragged Adare into helping me, along with our friend Shannon. The first picture we recreated was the Supermarket Shopper by Duane Hanson. In the summer weather of Miami, Adare put on nearly twenty layers of clothing in order to achieve the effect of fat rolls. Let’s just say, the people in Publix thought we were insane as we followed her around the store stuffing the shopping cart with anything we could get our hands on. Picture number two, American Gothic by Grant Wood, seemed to cause even more of a commotion. As we stood there posed in full farmer attire we just prayed that the owners of the house wouldn’t look out their window. After adjusting to the strange looks and glares we received from anyone and everyone that crossed our path, we realized that this was actually insanely fun. Adare’s passion has always been art to begin with so it was only natural that she wanted to share our creative exploits with the world. So that’s what we plan on doing; mimicking the muse.
Sincerely, Rebecca
LOVE IT!!!!!
